Hither's my 2-cents: I wouldn't get to Mercy Gilbert, even though y'all'd probably have a very expert experience in that location if everything goes well. While it's a fairly new hospital and looks equally good on the inside as it does on the outside, they don't take a NICU. Last I heard, they too didn't have an in-house OB/GYN at all times. (They have i on call.) Heaven preclude there's an emergency with mom, like a ruptured placenta, waiting for a doc to get there could have serious deleterious consequences. Since there is no NICU, they'd start have to tranfer the baby to one if there was an emergency with the babe. (In addition to the wasted time transferring, it would leave mom in one hospital and baby in some other.) I'd rather be condom than distressing, even if that meant potentially compromising somewhat on "the experience". Chandler Regional just opened their NICU in March of this year, I believe. That would put them up higher on my list than Mercy Gilbert, for reasons already mentioned. However, oft new units accept kinks to work out, including system/procedure kinks and equipment kinks. Therefore, it wouldn't be my first selection either at this time. It would depend upon which Imprint. Equally stated, my preference would exist a place with 24/7 in business firmOB/GYN Doc coverage and an on-site, established NICU. When information technology comes to potential life and death situations, I believe in expecting the best, but being prepared for the worst. Good luck wherever yous choose.

Outset, I'd become to the one my OB recommends and prefers. Which probably should take been determined months ago. Second, I'd check which one is in network for my health insurance plan. Once more, this probably should accept been done months agone. Third, I'd take Chandler Regional off the list., unless the other two issues require me to go there.

Agree that your OB/GYN's opinion is very important hither. I assume that all iii are on your insurance or you would not take asked, but that is a deal billow for any of them that is non. All my nephew's kids have been born at Chandler Regional, they've had good experiences each time. Banner Desert I presume has a NICU, and now has the Cardon children's hospital on their campus too.

Skip google reviews and go to the 1 your physician has priveleges at, every bit has been mentioned. If she has no local medico and insurance isn't an issue, I'd visit the maternity wards and enquire for a quick tour and pick from there. I recall the decision should exist made soon. I recall pre-registering for a room weeks in advance, and getting the paperwork out of the fashion.

My reply was based upon the premise their OB/GYN goes to all 3 and their insurance covers the three as well. Cardon does have a NICU.

I similar Chandler. Having been to all hospitals, the doctors at Chandler take ever done the proper tests, contacted my doctors etc. Imprint sent me home when I KNEW something was wrong, and then went to Chandler and turned out I had existent bad diverticulitis. Chandler is too more efficient. I take been admitted in banner , and chandler and when I have an emergency I always goto Chandler now.

my wife delivered at Mercy Gilbert concluding November. Of grade, our opinion is biased every bit she is a nurse at Mercy Gilbert, but our feel was absolutely awesome. The nurses in Labor & Delivery were peachy. The L&D dept. is fully capable of all deliveries of thirty+ weeks. Don't quote me on 30 wks, but information technology'due south right around there; I remember them maxim that during our classes nosotros took. Any deliveries prior to ~30 wks should go to Chandler Reg. because they have NICU. anyway, the Fifty&D room was slap-up and so was the staff. If yous have time, call Mercy Gilbert, they have a small walk-through tour of the L&D floor. They show you the rooms and answer any questions. You can also fill out all newspaper work, then when the day happens, your not filling out paperwork in the ER. *edit:
